Ozarks Boathouse is a multi-experience lakefront destination that brings together a BBQ smokehouse, event venue, and marina — all in one place.


❓ Is it a restaurant?

Yes — but not a traditional one.
We operate a Texas-style craft BBQ smokehouse, where meats are slow-smoked over real wood in small batches and served fresh through a counter-service experience. It’s casual, authentic, and focused on quality over complexity.


❓ What kind of food do you serve?

 We specialize in craft BBQ, featuring smoked meats and sandwiches prepared low and slow over real wood. Our menu is intentionally selective and evolving — not fixed — allowing our chef to focus on quality, creativity, and what’s coming out of the smoker at its absolute best. Each item reflects a craft-first approach, where execution and flavour come before volume.  No two visits are the same — the menu evolves, the smoke changes, the experience stays fresh.  


❓ Is Ozarks Boathouse also an event venue?

Yes. We host a variety of private and public events, including:

  • Weddings and celebrations 
  • Themed nights and festivals 
  • Group gatherings and special experiences 

It’s a unique setting where food, atmosphere, and the lake come together.


❓ Can I come by boat?

 Not at this time. Ozarks Boathouse operates as a marina, but public access by water is not yet open. We will announce availability once it’s ready. 


❓ Do I need a reservation?

  •  It depends on the experience.
    Walk-ins are always welcome during regular hours, but our craft BBQ is produced in small batches and available until it sells out.
    For special events and curated experiences, reservations or pre-booking may be required.

You can eat authentic BBQ, attend events, and enjoy the lake — all in one place.

 A craft BBQ smokehouse is all about doing barbecue the traditional way — no shortcuts.

We cook our meats low and slow over real wood smoke, often for many hours, to develop deep flavor, a proper bark, and that signature tenderness. Everything is prepared in small batches by a pitmaster, not mass-produced or reheated.

Service is counter-style, meaning you order at the counter and your food is served fresh from the smoker. It’s a casual, authentic experience focused on quality, not formality.

Expect a simple, focused menu, a lively atmosphere, and food served the way true smokehouses do it — fresh, fast, and straight to the point.

In short: real wood, real smoke, real BBQ — done right.


 Because this is true craft BBQ — everything is smoked low and slow in limited batches, not made to order on demand.

We prepare each meat for hours using real wood, and once it’s ready, that’s all we have for the day. Preselecting your meal helps us:

  • Ensure everyone gets exactly what they want 
  • Manage limited smoked quantities (no surprises, no sell-outs for you) 
  • Keep service fast and smooth when you arrive 
  • Reduce wait times and keep the experience simple and enjoyable 

It also allows our pitmaster to plan the cook properly — which is key to delivering the quality and consistency you expect from a true smokehouse.

In short: you’re not pre-ordering for convenience — you’re locking in your share of the smoker.


 Yes — we offer two distinct menus throughout the day, each designed around how our BBQ is prepared and served.

  • Lunch Menu:
    A sandwich-focused menu that’s quick, fresh, and satisfying, featuring our house-smoked meats, Cold Cuts, in a fast, approachable format. 
  • BBQ Menu (from 4 PM):
    Starting at 4 PM, we serve true Texas-style craft BBQ, with meats coming fresh off the smoker. Quantities are limited, and we serve until sold out. 

This approach allows us to deliver both a fast lunch experience and a full craft BBQ experience at its peak.


Yes, Ozarks Boathouse has a beautiful outdoor patio area where you can enjoy your meal in the fresh air.


Yes, Ozarks Boathouse is a family-friendly restaurant that welcomes guests of all ages.


 

We are a fully renovated historical boathouse, transformed into a one-of-a-kind lakeside BBQ smokehouse experience.
